VidCrop is an app that can come in useful in bunches of situations - for removing an awkward frame in a video to reducing the amount of space they take up on your hard drive.
With VidCrop, you can remove useless frames, zoom in on a particular area and easily select aspects that you want to change. VidCrop uses a framebar and a frame preview for cropping. The framebar allows you to choose the video from the first frame to the last and at the same time, allows you to preview what you've created so you can have an idea of what it will look like when you save it.
VidCrop supports a wide range of formats, although be aware that you have to ensure that the correct codecs are installed for them all to work properly. Generally speaking, once you have the right codecs, VidCrop will be compatible with avi, asf, mp4, mpg, mpeg, mov, wmv and other formats.
The editing process is very simple although for some reason, VidCrop doesn't give you control over the compression ratio it uses or the bitrate that the audio is played at.
VidCrop has a very simple and user-friendly interface that will allow you to crop and chop to your heart's content.
Pros
- Easy to crop and chop
- Supports most major formats
Cons
- Doesn't allow you to choose output bitrate
