The VIPRE Enterprise Premium software was developed to be a scalable Endpoint solution that protects your networked machines from all types of malware and viruses, and includes a firewall.

VIPRE Premium supports tiering and peering, making it well suited for any size of an organization. VIPRE Premium can be installed at multiple sites, and still be centrally managed. Its policy-based architecture allows administrators to create multiple policies based on user types. VIPRE Premium consists of the following main components:

Here are some key features of "VIPRE Enterprise Premium":

· Console: a centrally-managed console that can be set up with multiple roles for across-site, Administrator-User security. The console communicates directly with the databases. The Console can be installed on as many machines as required, without additional cost.
VIPRE Databases: can all be on one SQL Server or separate servers:
· Configuration Schema: houses all configuration data. There is only one Configuration Schema per site.
· Reporting Schema: houses all reporting data. You can set up multiple Reporting Schemas for report forwarding and redundancy reporting.
· Quarantine Schema: houses all quarantine data.
· VIPRE Site Service (VSS): manages communication between the databases and the Agents. The VSS can be installed on as many machines as required, without additional cost.
· Update Servers: set a local update server at the Policy level for Agents to receive updates.
· Micro-Installer: the VSS uses a micro-installer to deploy Agents to workstations.
· Agents: the VIPRE component that resides on workstations or servers, running periodic scans for threats based on its assigned policy.
· Report Viewer: a standalone application that is installed and run along with the Console. It can also be installed by itself on separate machines to be used by administrators and managers who want to run various reports at their convenience. The Report Viewer can be installed on as many machines as you require.
· VIPRE Premium Admin Console: also known as the Console, this is the user interface for using VIPRE Premium. You can install this virtually on any PC with an Internet/network connection and manage VIPRE Premium just about anywhere. You can also set it up so that multiple administrators can manage specific areas of your network, as well as specific sites; this is done in the Database Configuration Wizard, which immediately follows installation. The Admin Console can be installed on as many machines as you require.
· VIPRE Site Service: interfaces between the SQL Server and Agent workstations. The service is not demanding on resources, making it alright to be installed on shared servers, if desired.
· VIPRE Premium Report Viewer: a standalone application that is installed and run along with the Console. It can also be installed by itself on separate machines to be used by administrators and managers who want to run various reports at their convenience. The Report Viewer can be installed on as many machines as you require.
